Oversley Castle has a prominent location within the Oversley Estate and elevated panoramic views from a hilltop location. The new house will replace the current one known as ‘Oversley Castle’, which was originally constructed as a ‘folly castle’ at the suggestion of the Prince Regent during one of his frequent visits to Lord and Lady Hertford at the neighbouring Ragley Hall. The design is a contemporary family home referencing the plan and massing of the fortified castle. The new ‘castle keep’ contains the main living accommodation replacing the prominence of the former crenallated tower and will be the new ‘eye catcher’ for the area. A bedroom block, lower ground floor pool and gym and internal courtyard, loggia and car court completes the plan.
