The site, located within the historic village of Boston Spa, commands a stunning position on a wooded valley overlooking the River Wharfe. The building is sandwiched between a listed Georgian villa to the east and an imposing Victorian mansion to the west.
The design is a response to the historic neighbours and has been conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the Georgian architype. It provides a restrained formal elegance to the front elevation. In contrast, the rear elevation is expressed in a more playful manner.
The building has been designed to capitalise on views and light.
