The Harpurhey Youth Zone will provide a state of the art facility for high quality sports, arts and general recreational activities that will engage young people from across North Manchester. The design is an articulate architectural composition of two large volumes that are linked by a dramatic glazed entrance lobby, which will provide a strong visual statement to Rochdale Road. In contrast, the majority of the facades comprise of colourful, robust and economic panels that give a sense of security while also providing an easily maintainable façade that is resistant to vandalism.
