The new build apartment block contains 14 dwellings over 7 floors. It is located adjacent to the grade II listed 19th century cotton warehouse, which was recently converted into a apartments by this practice. The design relates to the historic materiality and density of the area, which provides a sense of solidity and mass to the architecture. It has been designed as a ‘sculpted object’, which is both contemporary and complementary to neighbouring buildings.
