Crocus Street, Nottingham is a key catalyst site for the southern regeneration area of Nottingham. Located in close proximity to the central train station and Nottingham Express Transit, the scheme is a zero car park provision with the exception of disabled parking. A mixed use project it comprises 149 Private Rental Sector apartments and a 420 bed student accommodation. The architectural language is a modern metaphor to that of the buildings in and around the Lace Market area of Nottingham and the buildings that once stood on the development site. A common vernacular of Nottingham is curved brick corner buildings and articulated roofs with mansard and dormer features. These have been reflected in the planning consented scheme.
