The competition brief was to create a new church, chapel and community centre for the Lutheran community of Bøler, a suburb of Oslo.
The design has been organised by a linear plinth that bisects the site and contrasts with the site’s sloping contours. The plinth, accommodates the community spaces, creating the base on which the church and chapel sits.
The design of the church building has been to express the coming together of a community whilst allowing for a physical relationship between the religious service and the beautiful natural surrounds.
