dukes 92

Dukes 92 is located in the historic Castlefield Canal Basin. The building is a long narrow Georgian stables block which was literally lost in the middle of rusting tin sheds. These were demolished to reveal the elegant little building and make way for the first deliberate public open space in the Basin.

The simply restored shell was inhabited by a contemporary bar of black steel and marble, echo of cooking range and wash stand, pitch pine floor and old furniture bought from antique shops.
